Just sayin’. I had the opportunity to attend a Science Saturday event at Campbell Creek Science Center yesterday, and wow, what fun! About 20 parents and kids showed up to learn all about Forest Studies, and the relationship trees and humans have fostered for hundreds of thousands of years. The 750+ acre facility  is a treasure waiting to be explored.

If you haven’t yet taken your ‘tween (8-13, although I saw some younger kids), do it. Sign up for any or all of the remaining classes, scheduled for May 8, June 12, and July 10, respectively. Creeks and water, birds, and salmon life cycles are some of the fantastic topics on tap for hands-on learning.

Visiting Anchorage this summer? This is a super chance to get to know our forests, fields, and wildlife. At $5 per person you can’t beat it.
