There’s still time to discover a little Alaskan wildness via the Prince William Sound Wilderness Explorer Cruises from Whittier. The best part? Kids cruise FREE through June 30, 2010 if you book by May 31, 2010. This is a $70 savings, folks. Lunch and a guided narration is included for the six-hour trip, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Most kids age 4 and up can handle a wildlife cruise, based upon our own AK Fam adventure last summer in Juneau with Allen Marine. As long as you come prepared with books and some quiet toys for the times when wildlife dare not show themselves, the day should progress fairly well. Be prepared for weather changes, however, so bring the warm hats, mittens, and coats. We take binoculars, snacks, books, and sometimes the portable DVD player, just for back-up. We never know how much AK Kid will enjoy or phtttt a particular activity, so better to bring the portable movie house and save everyone’s sanity, right?

To score this great deal, call 1-877-777-4054 or visit the organization’s Website, linked above. Great fun at a great price!
