Sometimes, things work out as they were meant to. It’s Sunday morning, I’m in Juneau, the sun is shining, and I’m about to pack up my gear and head out for a week of introducing young people to Alaska.
Humbled to be the Guest Host aboard an UnCruise Adventures “Kids in Nature” cruise to Glacier Bay, I am most excited about returning to my camp counselor roots, for that’s what this is intended to be. A week of crafts, games, and stories mingled nicely with deck time and a bunch of families who wish to show their kids this wild section of the 49th state. I love that.
I’ve got my bag full of poofy cotton balls, felt, glue, and miles of embroidery floss. I have polished up my camp songs and theme costume (kidding there, I really don’t, but I used to; see below). I even brought UNO. Watch out, kids.
It’s going to be a GREAT week. As was the case last year, count on internet being a non-issue. As in, non-existent, which has its merits. If you are already an AKontheGO subscriber, super – you’ll know when I’m back online. If you’re not – goodness gracious, sign up now. The bottom of the homepage has a spot to do just that.
Welcome, and thanks for being a part of our AKontheGO family. Have a spectacular week of family fun, yourself!
