Singing a sea chanty, AKontheGO fam is set to sail this summer, courtesy of Holland America Lines. After much deliberation and consideration, we decided on HAL for their classic approach to cruising and reported updates to children’s programming.
Our cruise, Southbound from Seward, will take us through scenic Glacier Bay, College Fjord, Haines, Juneau, and kitchy Ketchikan on our way to docking in Vancouver, British Columbia. In seven days the AK fam will see as much as Southeast Alaska has to offer (via HAL’s excursion planners), and you’ll get to read it all, thanks to Holland America’s Web-worthy ship.
AKontheGO will be providing posts prior to our sailing on August 16; covering everything from what to bring, how to ensure a smooth port/ship check-in, and pre-embarkation requirements. I’m finding a lot more needs to be done than meets the eye, and we’ll show you how. Hopefully.
If you have cruised on a Holland America Lines ship, AKontheGO wants to hear from you. How was your experrience? Did family accompany you? Were your expectations met? Tell us.
