I promised yesterday to broadcast from the rooftops our latest partnership – and here it is:
AKontheGO is now part of the Alaska Public Media/Outdoor Explorer team of radio pros! Yessir, yours truly will be providing information about family fun events around Alaska at the beginning of each month on KSKA’s Outdoor Explorer program, heard Thursdays at 2 p.m. (and re-broadcast at 9 p.m.) on 91.1 in Anchorage. We love Alaska Public Media, love what they stand for, and how they engage the community. I’m beyond excited to be working with them.
The first Family Outdoor Calendar segment will be heard this month on Thursday, November 7, during the Outdoor Explorer broadcast. Listen in as I chat with Ginamaria Smith, volunteer naturalist at Eagle River Nature Center and a huge supporter of kids and the outdoors.
Not near a radio at that time? No worries – you can pick up the podcast of that show, and all Outdoor Explorer programs, right HERE. And don’t worry; we’ll put all our broadcast dates up on the AKontheGO calendar, and here on the blog, so you don’t miss a single episode.
Want to be part of the action? Send me your organization’s outdoor-themed activities and events; I want YOU! firstname.lastname@example.org is the place.
